Poetry

everything is alright…

I struggle with accepting that you and I might never speak again. Refuse to think that it was all in vain. So when you look up at the moon hope you see me instead.

Everything is alright here at night.

I do not cry over you,

No not anymore.

I feel more alive and hopeful on the daily

But it is not because you are gone

I am just experiencing the fault that is living amongst day dreams

That parallel reality, if you know what I mean.

I just struggle with accepting that you and I

Might never speak again

Refuse to think that it was all in vain

So when you look up at the moon

Hope you see me instead.

Or maybe I’ll see you six feet under.

It really makes you ponder

How life can pull you in a million directions,

Prey on you and your inhibitions

Just to end abruptly

Like you and I.
